New Guinea is a big, beautiful island in the Pacific Ocean. It is the world's second-largest island and is home to many amazing plants and animals. The island is split into two parts: the eastern half is called Papua New Guinea, and the western half is called Western New Guinea, which is part of Indonesia.

Many people live on New Guinea, and they speak over a thousand different languages! The two biggest cities are Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea, and Jayapura, in Western New Guinea. These cities are full of life, with markets, schools, and friendly people.
