Yolanda King
Yolanda King was a kind and brave woman who helped make the world a better place. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955. Her parents were Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, who worked very hard for fairness and equal rights.
Yolanda grew up knowing her father’s important work. Even when things were hard, she stayed strong. She went to school and loved acting. She appeared in films like Ghosts of Mississippi, Our Friend, Martin, and Selma, Lord, Selma. Yolanda also spoke up for many good causes, including rights for the LGBT community.
Yolanda used her voice to help others, just like her father did. She gave talks and performed in plays to share ideas about peace and fairness. She will always be remembered for her courage and love for helping people.
Yolanda King passed away in 2007, but her work continues to inspire many. Her family and friends remember her as a strong and caring person who believed in making the world a kinder place for everyone.
