The 1923 World Series was the championship series in Major League Baseball for the 1923 season. It was the 20th time the World Series was held. The best teams from the American League and the National League played against each other. The New York Yankees played against the New York Giants.

The Yankees won the series in six games. This was the start of their successful history. By 2026, they had won many World Series championships.

This World Series was special because the games were played in different stadiums. The teams switched stadiums for each game. This was because the first Yankee Stadium had just opened, and the Polo Grounds was too small to hold both teams.

The New York Yankees played against the New York Giants in the 1923 World Series. This was the year the Yankees opened their new stadium. Babe Ruth hit a home run when the stadium opened. Ruth also hit three home runs during the games.
