1998 NLL season

Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Adventurer experience

The 1998 season was a big change for indoor lacrosse. Before the season started, the Major Indoor Lacrosse League changed its name to the National Lacrosse League. This change meant teams would play more games. The regular season grew from ten to twelve games.

The first game of the season was on January 3, 1998. The season ended with the championship games on April 28. The championship was a best-two-of-three series. The Philadelphia Wings played against the Baltimore Thunder. The Philadelphia Wings won both games, with scores of 16โ€“12 and 17โ€“12. This showed that the Philadelphia Wings were the strongest team that season.

Team movement

The 1998 season had two new teams join and one team leave. The Boston Blazers stopped playing after nine seasons in Boston and New England. The Ontario Raiders and Syracuse Smash began their first seasons.
