Anaheim GardenWalk

Anaheim GardenWalk is a special shopping and dining place located just a block east of the Disneyland Resort in the Anaheim Resort District of Anaheim, California. It opened in the middle of 2008, a time when many places were having trouble staying open because of hard economic times known as the 2008 Great Recession.

Even though it was hard at first, Anaheim GardenWalk later became very popular. One reason it is special is that it is known as a "haven for artists." The walls of the center change often with new art painted by local artists, giving them a chance to show their work to many people.

History

The Anaheim GardenWalk opened on June 14, 2008. It cost a lot to build but had a hard time during the Great Recession. Many stores left, and the place was only half full by 2011. New owners took over in 2012.

In 2017, a popular concert venue called the House of Blues moved to GardenWalk. In 2018, new investors bought the GardenWalk. Since then, the area has grown, with plans for new hotels to open in 2028 and other fun ideas being discussed.

Tenants

Anaheim GardenWalk has many shops and restaurants, including AMC, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Casa de Pancho, California Pizza Kitchen, The Cheesecake Factory, Huckleberry Breakfast and Lunch, McCormick and Schmick's, Roy's Restaurant, Paris Baguettes, and Starbucks. There is also a JW Marriott hotel nearby.
