Athletics at the 2000 Summer Olympics

The 2000 Summer Olympics were held in Sydney. The athletics events had exciting competitions for athletes to show their skills.

Athletes from 193 countries came together. They competed in 46 different events. There were 24 events for men and 22 events for women.

A total of 2,134 athletes took part. The events included running, jumping, and throwing. These games brought people together to celebrate sport and friendship.
