Dekhela

(Arabic: الدخيلة) is a neighborhood in Alexandria, Egypt. It has a large seaport. The neighborhood is about 7 miles west of the city of Alexandria. Its seaport connects to the main port of Alexandria.

People think Dekhela might have been where an old Christian monastery called the Pempton once stood. This monastery was about five miles west of Alexandria. There are also signs that a group of people known as the Gaianite community lived there a long time ago.
