North Macedonia at the Olympics
Adapted from Wikipedia · Adventurer experience
North Macedonia first joined the Olympic Games in the 1996 Summer Olympics. Before this, athletes from North Macedonia competed as part of Yugoslavia until 1988. In 1992, they joined as Independent Olympic Participants.
Since 1996, North Macedonia has sent athletes to every Summer and Winter Olympic Games. For a time, the country was known as the "former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" due to a naming dispute. This name was used until the issue was resolved.
