Owendo

Owendo is a port city in Gabon. It is close to the bigger city of Libreville. Owendo is important because it helps Gabon connect with the rest of the world through shipping and trade. History

In 1978, the Trans-Gabon Railway reached Owendo.

In 2023, Fortescue agreed to mine iron ore at Belinga. They planned to use roads and trains to take the ore to the port of Owendo.
