Podunavlje District

The Podunavlje District (Serbian: Подунавски округ, romanized: Podunavski okrug, pronounced ) is one of the districts of Serbia. It is in the central part of the country.
The main city and administrative center of the Podunavlje District is Smederevo. This area has a rich history and culture, making it an interesting place to learn about.
History
The Podunovavlje District, like other areas in Serbia, became an official area in 1992. This happened when leaders of Serbia made a new rule to organize the country into different regions.
Cities and municipalities
The Podunovavlje District has one city and two municipalities. They are:
- Smederevo (city)
- Smederevska Palanka (municipality)
- Velika Plana (municipality)
Demographics
The Podunovavlje District has many people living there. It has three main towns, each with more than 10,000 residents. These towns are Smederevo, Smederevska Palanka, and Velika Plana.
