The Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium, known as the Al Lawson Center, is a big place where people can watch sports and other events. It is located in Tallahassee, Florida on the Campus of Florida A&M University. The center has seats for 9,639 people and was built in 2009.

It is home to the Florida A&M men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the women's volleyball team. The Al Lawson Center replaced an older place called Jake Gaither Gymnasium, which could hold 3,365 people. It is the second biggest arena in Tallahassee, after the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, which can hold 12,500 people.

The center is named after Congressman Al Lawson, who played basketball for FAMU and helped get money for the center and other buildings on the campus when he was in the Florida Legislature. The Al Lawson Center is also the third largest arena in the Florida Panhandle. In 2015, it was used for a concert by singer Ariana Grande during her Honeymoon Tour.
