Canada took part in the 1968 Winter Olympics held in Grenoble, France. These games were special because it was the first time Canada used its new Maple Leaf Flag to show its team. Canada has been part of every Winter Olympic Games since they began. The 1968 Winter Olympics brought together athletes from many countries to compete in exciting winter sports.

Alpine skiing was one of the events at the 1968 Winter Olympics. Both men and women competed in this sport. The men's slalom event was held during the Games, and there were also competitions for women.

Biathlon

In the biathlon events at the 1968 Winter Olympics, athletes competed in races where missing targets added extra time to their results. For every close miss, one minute was added, and for a complete miss, two minutes were added. In the relay race, athletes had to ski a 200-meter loop for each missed target.

Ice hockey

Canada took part in the ice hockey competition at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France. This was the first time Canada used its new Maple Leaf Flag to represent the country in the games.
The team played several matches against other countries, with results including a 6-1 win against West Germany, a 3-2 win against the United States, and a close 3-2 loss to Czechoslovakia. Other games saw Canada beating East Germany 11-0 and Sweden 3-0, but they lost to the Soviet Union 5-0 and Finland 2-5.
