The Chadian Association of Baptist Churches (French: Association Tchadienne des Églises baptistes) (ATEBAM) is a Baptist Christian denomination in Chad. It brings together many Baptist churches across the country, sharing beliefs and supporting one another.
The headquarters of this group is located in N'Djamena, the capital city of Chad. This central location helps organize activities and spread their message to people living in different parts of the nation.
As a Baptist denomination, ATEBAM focuses on teaching the Bible and encouraging people to live by its guidance. Their work helps strengthen communities and provides support to members through worship, education, and service.
History
The Chadian Association of Baptist Churches began with a mission from an American group in 1925 in Sarh. During the 1930s, they built a hospital and a Bible college in Koumra. The association became official in 1964. Later, in 1979, they started a group for young people called the Youth of Baptist Churches of Chad.
