Eltingville Transit Center is a park and ride transit center located in Eltingville, Staten Island, at the intersection of Arthur Kill Road and Richmond Avenue, right where the Korean War Veterans Parkway ends. It was finished in 2004 and offers many helpful features for people who are traveling.
You can find schedules and maps there, and there is free parking for people leaving their cars. Vending machines sell soda, snacks, and OMNY cards for easy payments. The center is right between the Eltingville Staten Island Railway station and the Staten Island Mall, which is also a transit center with the Yukon Depot nearby.
History
In December 2022, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority shared plans to add more parking spots at the Eltingville Transit Center. They wanted to increase the number of spots by 34 percent, from 437 to 586. The new spots will be added to the west side of the current parking lot. The project will also include new lighting, a new curb, and better drainage. It will cost $4.3 million and finish in spring 2023.
