Erwann Le Péchoux

Erwann Le Péchoux (born 13 January 1982) is a French left-handed foil fencer. He has won many important competitions, including four team European championships and four team world championships.

Le Péchoux has also competed in the Olympics five times. He was part of the team that won a silver medal in 2016 and a gold medal in 2021. He has taken part in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 2012 London Olympic Games, the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, and the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Personal life

Erwann Le Péchoux is married to Inès Boubakri, a Tunisian foil fencer. Because Muslim women in Tunisia were not allowed to marry non-Muslim men until September 2017, he chose to convert to Islam so they could marry.
