Get After It Media

Get After It Media LLC is a privately owned American company that runs many television stations. It used to be called Luken Communications and Reach High Media Group. The company is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee and owns or operates about 80 television stations across the United States.

It also runs five digital television multicast networks. The main station for the company is in Chattanooga, and it includes a low-power station called WOOT-LD. This makes Get After It Media an important part of television broadcasting in many areas.

History

Luken Communications started in 2008 by Henry Luken III, who was the president and CEO of Equity Media Holdings. The company bought six TV stations from Equity Media for $17.5 million. In June 2008, Equity sold the Retro Television Network to Luken for $18.5 million, along with some warrants.

In January 2009, a problem between Equity and Luken Communications stopped RTN programming on many stations. Luken said Equity had not paid many of RTN's creditors. Because of this, Luken used a national feed from its Chattanooga office. This led Luken to cancel a plan to buy Equity's stations in southwestern Florida.

In June 2009, Luken and Seals Entertainment Company started a channel called Tuff TV for men. In March 2011, Luken joined with ValCom to become part-owners of My Family TV. Later, the network changed its name to The Family Channel. In June 2011, Luken bought 78 low-power translator stations to help cover more areas with its networks. That summer, Luken and Classic Media started PBJ, showing classic children's shows. They also launched Frost Great Outdoors with Frost Cutlery in 2011.

In April 2012, Luken Communications and Jim Owens Entertainment planned to bring back The Nashville Network as a digital broadcast network, launching in late summer 2012. The network was later renamed Heartland.

In June 2013, a court in Arkansas said Luken Communications owed $47.4 million for a claim about moving ownership of RTV six years earlier. To fight this, Luken filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. After more than a year of appeals, the company won and left bankruptcy in October 2014. That same year, they started a new network called Rev'n for car fans.

In December 2019, Luken Communications changed its name to Reach High Media Group, with Joel Wertman as the new president and CEO. In early 2021, the company changed its name again to Get After It Media, with Wertman still leading.

On April 13, 2026, Get After It Media and Hasbro announced a deal to launch Hasbro Legends. On April 22, 2026, they said they would combine two of their networks into one called Rev'n Action, which would start on May 4.

Get After It Media owns several digital television networks. These include The Family Channel, Heartland (which used to be called The Nashville Network), and Retro TV. There are also more networks coming soon.

The company also operates many television stations across the United States.
