Hong Kong, a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China, took part in the 2022 Winter Olympics held in Beijing, China, from February 4 to February 20, 2022. This was Hong Kong's sixth time competing in the Winter Olympic Games, with their first appearance happening in 2002.

The team from Hong Kong was the largest they had ever sent to the Winter Olympics, with three athletes—two men and one woman—competing in two sports: alpine skiing and short track speed skating. During the opening ceremony, Sidney Chu carried the flag for Hong Kong, while a volunteer did so during the closing ceremony.

Background

Hong Kong first joined the Summer Olympic Games in 1952 and has been in every Summer Olympics except the one in 1980 Moscow. Before 1997, Hong Kong was a British colony, but it then became part of the People's Republic of China. Even after this change, Hong Kong could still send its own teams to the Olympics under the name "Hong Kong, China."

Hong Kong joined the Winter Olympic Games for the first time in 2002 at Salt Lake City. In the 2022 Winter Olympics held in Beijing from February 4 to 20, Hong Kong sent three athletes: alpine skier Adrian Yung and Audrey King, plus short track speed skater Sidney Chu. This was Hong Kong's sixth Winter Olympics and the biggest team they have ever sent. Sidney Chu carried the flag for Hong Kong during the opening ceremony, and a volunteer did during the closing ceremony.
