List of airports in the Philadelphia metropolitan area
Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
The Philadelphia metropolitan area is a big place that includes the city of Philadelphia, which is the nation's sixth-most populous city. This area also covers parts of Pennsylvania, Delaware, and South Jersey. There are many airports in this region, both big and small, that help people travel for work, fun, and other reasons.
Airports can be different types. Some are used for big airplanes that carry many passengers, called commercial airports. Others are for smaller planes used by private pilots or clubs, called general aviation airports. There are also airports used by the military.
This list includes airports that are still open and some that used to be open. It shows where these airports are and what kind they are. This helps people know about the many places where airplanes take off and land around Philadelphia.
