Malaysia at the 2022 Winter Olympics

Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience

Malaysia took part in the 2022 Winter Olympics held in Beijing, China, from February 4 to February 20, 2022. This was only the second time Malaysia had ever joined the Winter Olympics and the second time in a row since they first joined in the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The team from Malaysia had two alpine skiers, one boy and one girl. This was special because it was the first time Malaysia had a girl on their Winter Olympics team. Moira Tan Siew See was chosen to lead the team on September 25, 2021, during a meeting of the Olympic Council of Malaysia.

Jeffrey Webb and Aruwin Salehhuddin were chosen to carry Malaysia’s flag during the opening ceremony, and Webb also carried the flag during the closing ceremony.
