The station has many train lines passing through it. You can take Metro Line 6, Line 8, and Line 10, as well as Cercanías Lines C-2, C-3, C-4, C-7, C-8, and C-10 from here. All these lines make Nuevos Ministerios a very busy and useful place for many travelers in Madrid.
History
The railway station used today was opened on July 18, 1967, connecting two big train stations, Chamartín and Atocha. People called this tunnel the Túnel de la risa because it felt like an amusement park ride.
The Metro station came later, opening on October 10, 1979, as part of Line 6. More train platforms were added over the years, including ones for Line 8 and Line 10. In 2002, a special service let passengers check in for flights at the station before heading to the airport, but this stopped later for safety reasons.
Today, the station serves many train lines and sometimes hosts events in its big hall.
