Osterseen is a beautiful group of lakes located in Bavaria, Germany, about 50 kilometers south-south-west of Munich. These lakes sit at an elevation of 588 meters above sea level and cover a total area of 223.55 hectares, which is about 552 acres. The Osterseen are a popular spot for nature lovers and visitors who enjoy peaceful water activities and exploring the surrounding landscapes. They offer a wonderful place to relax and connect with nature in a serene environment.

Islands

The Osterseen lakes have several small islands. In Großer Ostersee, there are islands like Holzau, Marieninsel, Steigerinsel, Roseninsel, and Schwaigerinsel.

Frechensee has two unnamed islands close to its shores.
