Railway stations in Italy are important places where people get on and off trains. Most of these stations are taken care of by a company called RFI, which is part of a bigger group named Ferrovie dello Stato. Some smaller stations are run by other local companies that the government has allowed to help. These stations are used by many people every day to travel around the country.

Classification
RFI groups stations into Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze categories based on how many people use them.
Platinum stations are the busiest, with over 6,000 passengers each day. They are important for cities and have many trains coming and going, including fast and long-distance services. Some examples are Bari Centrale, Bologna Centrale, Firenze Santa Maria Novella, and Milano Centrale.
