Trojan Vision

Trojan Vision is a student television station at the University of Southern California through the School of Cinematic Arts. It started in 1997 and broadcasts all day, every day, from the Robert Zemeckis Center for Digital Arts. People can watch it on Channel 8.1 at the University Park Campus or online, and it is also available to the Los Angeles area on local channel LA36.

Students can help out at Trojan Vision or get class credit by taking the USC course CTPR-409, called "Practicum in Television Production." In 2017, Trojan Vision celebrated 20 years of being on the air, showing how it has grown and stayed important for students and the community.

Programming

Trojan Vision has many different shows since it started in 1997. Their main studio, Studio B, is in the Robert Zemeckis Center for Digital Arts and has special cameras and equipment for making TV shows. They also have bigger stages for performances and can broadcast from many places around the USC campus. Trojan Vision broadcasts all the time on a screen near Tommy Trojan and online too.

Awards and honors

In 2006, Trojan Vision received a Telly Award for the third year in a row. This award celebrates excellent local, regional, and cable television programs. Since 2004, Trojan Vision has won the Telly Award four times. The station has also earned other honors, such as being named "Best College Television Station in the Country" by Spin Magazine and receiving six Telly Awards in total.
