Truist Place
Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
Truist Place, formerly known as SunTrust Financial Centre, is a tall building in Tampa, Florida. Standing at 525 feet (160 meters) with 36 floors, it was finished in 1992. The building was designed by Cooper Carry and is the fourth tallest in Tampa. It was built to withstand very strong winds of up to 110 miles per hour (180 kilometers per hour).
One special feature of Truist Place is its pyramid-shaped roof, which has lights that change colors depending on the season or special events happening.
In January 2021, because of a big company merger where SunTrust joined with BB&T to become Truist, the building’s name was changed to Truist Place.
