Walter Malmquist

Walter Malmquist (born 3 March 1956) is an American former Nordic combined skier and ski jumper. He competed in both the 1976 Winter Olympics and the 1980 Winter Olympics. In 1980, he took part in both ski jumping and Nordic combined events.
During the 1980 Winter Games in Lake Placid, Malmquist finished 27th in ski jumping on the Large Hill. In the Nordic combined event, he did very well in the jumping part, finishing in 2nd place. He also had the 27th fastest time in the cross country part, which helped him finish 12th overall.
Malmquist also had strong performances in other competitions. In 1980, he placed 8th and 13th in ski jumping World Cup events held in Thunder Bay, Canada. His achievements show his skill and dedication to these winter sports.
