Younuo language

The Younuo language, also known as Yuno, is a special way of speaking used by a small group of people in China. It belongs to the Hmongic family of languages, which includes many different languages spoken by people across parts of Asia. Younuo is mainly spoken in a place called Longsheng Various Nationalities Autonomous County, located in the Guangxi region of China.
Only about 4,000 people still speak Younuo today, making it a language that not many people use. This shows how some languages have fewer speakers over time, and it becomes important to learn and keep these languages alive. Studying languages like Younuo helps us understand more about the history and culture of the people who speak them.
Classification
The Younuo language belongs to the Hmongic family, but it is not clear exactly where it fits. Some experts think it is closest to the Pa-Hng language, while others believe it shares more in common with She, Jiongnai, and Pana. These different ideas show that scientists are still learning about how these languages are related.
Demographics
The Younuo people, also known as "Red Yao," speak a special language called Younuo. There are about 4,600 Younuo speakers. Their neighbors, called Pinghua Red Yao, speak a different language related to Chinese and number a bit more than 10,000 people.
Distribution
Younuo is spoken in a place called Heping township, in Longsheng Various Nationalities Autonomous County, Guangxi, China. People speak it in villages like Liutian, Jinjiang, Xinlu, and Jinkeng, along with a few other small places.
