70 Pine Street

70 Pine Street is a very tall building in New York City. It has 67 floors and is 952 feet high. People also call it the American International Building. It was built a long time ago, between 1930 and 1932, when many tall buildings were being made.

The building is in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan. It was designed in a special style called Art Deco. Art Deco buildings have nice shapes and designs on them. 70 Pine Street has interesting outside designs, like sun shapes and a special logo.

Inside, the building has a beautiful lobby with bright colors and marble walls. It used to have an observation deck where people could look out over the city, but that closed a long time ago. Now, the top floors have a fancy restaurant.

Even though it was built during a hard time called the Great Depression, the building did very well. Today, it is a mix of homes, shops, and restaurants. In 2011, it became an official landmark in New York City because of its special design and history.
