What is Agricultural Economics?

Agricultural economics is a special part of economics. It helps us learn about growing and sharing food and fiber. It teaches us how to grow lots of crop yield while keeping the soil ecosystem healthy.

Why is it Important?

People who study agricultural economics help make good rules about food policy, agricultural policy, and environmental policy. They work to make sure we have enough healthy food for everyone.

Who Works in This Field?

Agricultural economists help farmers make good choices about growing and selling food. They study how farms are managed, how food is priced, and how rules affect farming and food around the world. They also help care for the land and natural resources.
