Anna Maria Mozart was the mother of two very special musicians, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his sister Maria Anna Mozart. She was born on December 25, 1720, in a pretty place called St. Gilgen.

Anna Maria grew up in a family that had some money problems after her father passed away when she was young. Later, she married a nice man named Leopold Mozart, and they lived in Salzburg. They had seven children, but only two lived to grow up: Nannerl and Wolfgang.

Anna Maria loved music and traveled with her children when they played for people. She even went on a longer trip with Wolfgang when he was older. Sadly, she became very ill and passed away in Paris in 1778, and Wolfgang was very sad. Her birth home in St. Gilgen is now a museum where people can learn about her life.
