Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda is a beautiful pair of islands in the Caribbean Sea. These two main islands, along with a few tiny ones, make up a country that is warm and sunny all year. The islands are flat and sandy, with white beaches and blue water all around.

People have lived on these islands for a very long time. First came people called the Ciboney, then the Arawaks from nearby Venezuela. Later, Christopher Columbus saw the islands in 1493. Today, Antigua and Barbuda is its own country. It became independent in 1981 and is led by a Prime Minister.

The islands are famous for their lovely beaches and clear water. Many people visit to relax, swim, and enjoy the sun. St. John's is the biggest city, where you can find shops, restaurants, and fun places to explore.

Life on the islands is easy and happy. People speak English and enjoy music, dancing, and tasty food like fungee and pepperpot. Cricket is a favorite sport, and many players from here join big teams. Every year, there are colorful festivals like the Antigua Carnival with music, dancing, and beautiful costumes.

Antigua and Barbuda is a wonderful place to visit or live, with warm weather, friendly people, and lots of fun things to see and do.
