Archery at the Summer Olympics
Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Explorer experience
Archery is a fun sport where people shoot arrows at a target. It has been part of the Summer Olympics since 1900. Many countries have joined in, and France has competed the most, 15 times!
One amazing fact is how well archers from South Korea have done. Since 1984, they have won many gold medals. The sport is managed by the World Archery Federation, and only one type of archery, called recurve archery, is allowed in the Olympics.
Archery is also an event in the Summer Paralympics, where athletes with disabilities compete. This makes the Olympics a place where everyone can show their skills and win medals.
Archery in the Olympics is exciting because it tests focus, precision, and calmness. Archers from over 105 countries have taken part, each bringing their own style and determination to the games. The best archers can hit the target almost every time, making every shot a thrilling moment for everyone watching.
