AstroSat: India’s Special Space Eye

AstroSat is India’s very first special space telescope. It flies high above Earth to look at stars, planets, and other amazing things in space. AstroSat can see different kinds of light, like the light we see with our eyes and special light called X-rays.

AstroSat was launched into space on September 28, 2015, from India. A big rocket called PSLV-XL carried it up. The people who made AstroSat work very hard to build it. They are part of the Indian Space Research Organisation, or ISRO for short.

AstroSat has many special tools to study space. These tools help scientists learn new things about stars, galaxies, and faraway space objects. Because AstroSat worked so well, scientists are planning to launch a second one called AstroSat-2. This will help us learn even more about the wonderful universe!
