The Basque Country

The Basque Country is a special area in the north of Spain. It has three main parts called Álava, Biscay, and Gipuzkoa. These parts have their own traditions and rules.

People in the Basque Country speak both Spanish and the Basque language. Many enjoy yummy foods like seafood and small snacks called "Pintxos". The city of San Sebastián is very famous for its tasty food.

The Basque Country is also known for its sports. One popular game is Basque pelota, which is like tennis but played in a special court. Football is loved too, with teams like Athletic Club from Bilbao and Real Sociedad from San Sebastián.

The land has beautiful mountains and coastlines. One special place is the Plaiaundi Ecology Park, where many birds live. The Basque Country is a wonderful place with rich culture and lovely scenery.
