Calvary, also called Golgotha, is a very special place for many people who follow Christianity. It is thought to be where important events from old stories happened.

The place is near the old city of Jerusalem in the Holy Land. For many years, people have visited this spot on a special trip called a pilgrimage. Many believe the exact place is inside a beautiful building called the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Long ago, a wise woman named Helena, the mother of a great leader named Constantine the Great, visited this place and shared her thoughts about it. Some people think the real spot might be near another hill called Skull Hill, close to a place known as the Garden Tomb.

Today, many visitors go to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to see a special rock that holds memories for them. This place helps people remember important stories from long ago.
