A Special Train Stop

Castlerock railway station is a cozy train stop in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It helps people travel to nearby villages like Castlerock and Articlave. Many families and walkers use this station to visit beautiful spots such as Mussenden Temple, Downhill Strand, and Benone.

History of the Station

The station opened a long time ago, on 18 July 1853. A talented architect named Charles Lanyon designed it. It began with a red-brick building and later grew with a taller part, but it still looked nice and matching.

Trains Today

Every day from Monday to Saturday, a train leaves Castlerock every hour. Some trains go to Derry~Londonderry, and others go to Belfast Grand Central. These trains are driven by Northern Ireland Railways. On Sundays, there are six trains going each way, making it easy for people to plan their trips.
