Chicago is a big, busy city in the United States. It is in the state of Illinois and is next to a big lake called Lake Michigan. Chicago is one of the biggest cities in the country, with lots of people living there.
Fun Things in Chicago
Chicago is full of exciting places to see and things to do. One famous spot is the Millennium Park, where you can find a huge cloud-like sculpture called the Cloud Gate, or "The Bean." People love to look at it and take pictures. There are also beautiful gardens and a big fountain in the park.
The city has many museums, too! The Art Institute of Chicago has amazing paintings and artworks. The Field Museum shows fossils and animals from long ago. Kids love looking at the giant Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton there!

Chicago is famous for its special foods. One popular dish is deep-dish pizza, which has lots of cheese and sauce in a very deep pan. Another tasty treat is the Chicago-style hot dog, topped with pickles, peppers, and other yummy things.

Chicago has many sports teams that kids love to cheer for. The Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox are both baseball teams. The Chicago Bulls are a famous basketball team, and the Chicago Bears play football. Going to a game can be a fun adventure!

Chicago has lots of parks where kids can play. Lincoln Park is one of the biggest parks and has a zoo, gardens, and even a beach on Lake Michigan. There are also many playgrounds with slides and swings. In the summer, families often go to the parks to relax and have fun.
