Cockatiels are friendly, small birds that many people love to keep as pets. They belong to the cockatoo family and live only in Australia. These birds have a special crest on their heads that moves up and down depending on how they feel.

Cockatiels come in many beautiful colors, like grey, yellow, and white. They are easy to care for, which makes them popular pets all around the world. In the wild, they live near water in places like scrublands and bushlands. They love to eat seeds such as Acacia, wheat, and sunflower.

These birds can also learn to talk and sing! Many cockatiels enjoy repeating words and sounds they hear from their owners or the world around them. With good care, cockatiels can live for many years, often up to 15 years or more, bringing joy to their families.
