Cornell University

Cornell University is a big school in Ithaca, New York in the United States. It started in 1865 and has many students from all over the world. The school was founded by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White, who wanted to create a place where everyone could learn together.

The university has many different colleges where students can study things like agriculture, engineering, and even hotel administration! Some of these colleges get help from the state of New York, while others rely on private gifts and support.

Cornell is known for its beautiful campus, which has old, fancy buildings and modern ones too. From the campus, you can see Cayuga Lake, making it a lovely place to learn and live.

Students at Cornell enjoy many activities. There are over 1,000 groups to join, from sports teams to music clubs. The school’s colors are carnelian and white, and the mascot is a bear. One fun tradition is Slope Day, a big celebration where students have fun and enjoy the spring weather.

Cornell has also made important discoveries in science and technology. Teachers and students have worked on exciting projects, like studying space and making new technologies. Many famous people, including leaders, inventors, and writers, have come from Cornell, showing how much the school helps people achieve great things.
