Deutsche Bahn, often called DB, is Germany’s big railway company. It helps millions of people travel every day. The main office is in a tall building called the Bahntower in Berlin.

DB started in 1994 when two older railway companies, Deutsche Bundesbahn and the East German Deutsche Reichsbahn, joined together after Germany became one country again. Since then, DB has helped people travel all across Germany.

DB has many parts that do different jobs. There is DB Fernverkehr for long-distance trains, like the fast Intercity Express trains. There is also DB Regio for shorter trips in local areas. Another part, DB Cargo, moves goods by train.

People can ride DB’s trains to go from one city to another quickly. The company works hard to keep the railway system running smoothly for everyone. DB is very important for travel in Germany and helps many people every day.
