Duke University

Duke University is a big school in Durham, North Carolina in the United States. It started a long time ago, in 1838, as a small school called Brown's Schoolhouse. Later, it moved to Durham and grew into the university we know today.

The school has many pretty buildings. One famous one is Duke Chapel, which looks like a castle with tall towers. Students live in different parts of the campus. First-year students stay in East Campus, where the buildings look like old houses. Other students live on West Campus, which has beautiful stone buildings.

Duke University is also known for its sports teams, called the Blue Devils. Many people love to watch their basketball games. The team has won many prizes and is very popular.

The university has schools for many different subjects, like science, engineering, and medicine. Students can study many things and join clubs or teams to have fun and learn more. Duke wants to help students grow and learn in a friendly, exciting place.
