Gaelic games are fun sports that started in Ireland. People there love to play them, and now they are enjoyed all around the world too. The games are managed by the Gaelic Athletic Association, called the GAA for short.

The most popular Gaelic games are Gaelic football and hurling. Gaelic football is played by teams of 15 players who try to kick a ball through H-shaped goals or over a bar to score points. Hurling is an old game where players hit a ball into a special goal or over a bar to earn points. Both games are fast and exciting!

There are also versions for girls. Girls play ladies' Gaelic football and a game called camogie that is similar to hurling. These girls’ games have their own groups that help organize them.

You can find Gaelic games clubs in many places. Even in places like Italy, people watch Gaelic games on TV. In the 2024 Paris Olympics, Gaelic football and hurling were shown for the first time since 1904, which made many people excited!
