Gene Wilder
Gene Wilder was a talented actor and comedian. He is best remembered for playing Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. This fun character made him a favorite with children and adults.
Wilder was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His family was from Russia. As a child, he loved making people laugh. This led him to study acting and start his career on stage.
He worked with famous director Mel Brooks on many funny movies like The Producers, Blazing Saddles, and Young Frankenstein. He also starred with Richard Pryor in movies such as Silver Streak and Stir Crazy.
After the sad passing of his wife, Gilda Radner, Wilder helped raise awareness about cancer. He supported many charitable causes and wrote books about his life.
Wilder passed away in Stamford, Connecticut in 2016. He is remembered for his kind heart and wonderful performances that made many people happy.
