Gilgit-Baltistan is a special area in northern Pakistan, close to China and India. It is famous for its tall mountains and beautiful landscapes.

Tall Mountains and Glaciers

Gilgit-Baltistan has some of the world's highest mountains. Five of the 14 tallest mountains on Earth are here, including K2, which is very tall and challenging for climbers. The region also has big glaciers and many lakes.

People and Life

People in Gilgit-Baltistan live in valleys beside rivers. They enjoy farming and welcoming visitors who come to hike and explore the mountains. The main towns are Gilgit and Skardu.

Traveling Here

The main road is the Karakoram Highway, which connects Gilgit-Baltistan to other parts of Pakistan and China. There are also small airports in Gilgit and Skardu for travelers.

Fun Activities

Many people love to play polo here. There are special polo matches and festivals. Other popular activities include football, cricket, and trekking in the beautiful mountains.

Gilgit-Baltistan is a place of adventure and natural beauty, where people enjoy both tradition and exploring new paths.
