The Land of Hejaz

Hejaz is a special part of the Arabian Peninsula in western Saudi Arabia. It is next to the Red Sea and has many important cities. Some of these cities are Mecca, Medina, and Jeddah. These cities are very important to many people around the world.

Mecca and Medina are two very special cities in Hejaz. Many people visit these cities every year. They are important places in the religion of Islam. The people in Hejaz speak Arabic, and they have their own special way of speaking the language.

The name Hejaz means “to separate” in Arabic. This is because Hejaz is between two other areas: Najd to the east and Tihāmah to the west. The land in Hejaz has tall mountains and dark sand. It is a beautiful and interesting place to learn about.
