The Infantry Branch

The Infantry Branch is a special part of the United States Army. It has been very important since 1775. Infantry soldiers are the first to help keep our country safe. They walk or run toward their goals and work together as a team.

These brave men and women train very hard. They learn how to stay safe and support each other. Infantry soldiers are known for their courage and skill. They help protect our nation and keep us secure.

The Infantry Branch has a special symbol with two crossed muskets. This symbol was made in 1795 and is still used today. The main color for the Infantry Branch is Saxony Blue. Infantry soldiers have many units, such as the 1st Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne Division. These units work together to keep our country safe.

The Infantry Branch was created on June 14, 1775. It is the oldest branch of the Army. Soldiers in the Infantry Branch follow a special set of words called the Infantryman's Creed. This creed reminds them to be strong, brave, and always ready to protect their country.
