The United States Army

The United States Army is the land part of the United States Armed Forces. It is the oldest part of the U.S. military, created in 1784. The Army works with other parts of the military to protect the country and help with important missions around the world.

The Army uses many tools and vehicles. The most common weapon is the M4 carbine. The Army’s main battle tank is the M1A2 Abrams. The Army also uses helicopters like the AH-64 Apache for attacks and the UH-60 Black Hawk for transport.

Wearing the Army Uniform

The Army wears the Army Combat Uniform with a special pattern. In 2018, the army announced a new uniform called ‘Army Greens’ based on older styles. Different army units wear colored berets.
