Istanbul Technical University
Istanbul Technical University is a big school in Istanbul, Turkey. It is one of the oldest schools for learning about science and building things in the whole world! People can study many things there, like how to make machines, build cities, and learn about nature.
The university is very good at teaching about engineering. In 2025, it was ranked 79th in the world for engineering. That means it is the best school for engineering in Turkey! Students can choose from many different subjects, like electrical engineering, computer science, and even architecture.
Istanbul Technical University has six campuses, five in Istanbul and one in Famagusta. The main campus is in Maslak, and it has big buildings, a swimming pool, a stadium, and even a library with many books. Students can join many clubs and teams, like a basketball team and a football team. They also have a special place called ITU Stadium where famous singers like Metallica and Lady Gaga have performed concerts.
Many important people in Turkey studied at Istanbul Technical University. Some became leaders of the country, and others helped build big bridges and buildings. The school has been teaching students for over 250 years and continues to help Turkey grow and become better.
