Kirriemuir
Kirriemuir is a small, friendly town in Angus, Scotland. People often call it "the Wee Red Toon." The town is very special because it is the birthplace of the famous writer J. M. Barrie. He created the lovely story and character Peter Pan. You can see a statue of Peter Pan right in the town square!
The town has many interesting places to visit. There is a museum called Barrie's Birthplace, where you can learn about the writer and his wonderful stories. Another fun place is the Gateway to the Glens Museum, which shows the history of the area.
Kirriemuir is also known for a special kind of Gingerbread made by a local baker long ago. The town has two main parts, Northmuir and Southmuir, and many green parks where children can play.
Every year, local musicians have a fun event called Live in the Den, where guitar bands play music for everyone to enjoy. Kirriemuir is a nice place to visit and explore!
