A Nice Place in Regina

Lakeview is a friendly neighborhood in the city of Regina, Saskatchewan. It is found in the southern part of the city and has grown bigger over many years.

The land for Lakeview was bought in 1904 by a company named McCallum Hill & Co. In 1911, the City of Regina took care of the land and made it into homes.

Lakeview has many lovely things, like beautiful old houses and tall elm trees. There are also several fun parks such as Les Sherman Park, Kiwanis Waterfall Park, Kinsmen Park, and Lakeview Park. It is close to Wascana Centre, Wascana Creek, and the grand Saskatchewan Legislative Building. One cool sight is the Albert Memorial Bridge, which is the world's longest bridge over a very short stretch of water. The neighborhood is also home to Lakeview Elementary School, the oldest school in Regina, built in 1922.
