Adapted from Wikipedia · Explorer experience
Lassi is a yummy, cool drink made from yogurt. It is very refreshing and tastes a bit like a smoothie. People often drink lassi to cool down on hot days or after playing.
Lassi comes from Punjab, a place in India and Pakistan. The word "lassi" means yogurt mixed with water in the local languages. Traditionally, it is made with water buffalo milk, which gives it a special taste.
People like to add different spices to lassi to make new flavors. You can find salty lassi with cumin, sweet lassi with cardamom, or even lassi with fruits like mangos. Lassi is often served in a special clay cup called a kulhar.
Today, lassi is enjoyed all around the world. Whether you like it sweet, salty, or spicy, there is a flavor of lassi for everyone to enjoy!
